Instructions:
- Park on a flat surface, engage the parking brake, and wear gloves to protect hands and trim.
- Carefully remove the interior trim or access panel near the rear window as needed to gain access to the molding bracket area using a trim tool.
- If present, remove any retaining screws or clips holding the old bracket in place using the appropriate screwdriver or socket.
- Gently pry out the damaged bracket or release the clips; use needle-nose pliers for stubborn clips, taking care not to damage surrounding trim.
- Clean the mounting area with a cloth and mild cleaner to remove debris, adhesive residue, or corrosion.
- Position the new BKT DB9284 bracket in the original mounting location, aligning tabs, holes, or clip slots with the vehicle body or molding.
- Press the bracket into place until clips snap in, or secure with the original screws/fasteners. Ensure a snug, even fit and that the molding aligns correctly.
- Reinstall interior trim or access panels and verify the rear window molding sits flush and creates a good seal. Test for wind noise and water intrusion after installation.
