Ideal for restoration and routine maintenance, it provides an OE-style fit for easy installation and consistent handling characteristics.
Features:
- Fits 1986–2017 Dodge, Eagle, Hyundai, Mitsubishi and Plymouth models (outer tie rod end, right and left hand applications).
- Replaces worn outer tie rod ends to restore steering precision and reduce play.
- Durable steel stud and housing with corrosion-resistant finish for long service life.
- Greaseable or sealed ball stud options for smooth articulation and reduced wear.
- Precision machined taper and threads for OE-style fit and straightforward installation.
- Helps prevent uneven tire wear and improves vehicle tracking and handling.

Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes per side
Instructions:
- Park on level ground, engage parking brake and loosen the wheel lug nuts slightly.
- Raise the vehicle with a floor jack and secure it on jack stands. Remove the wheel.
- Apply penetrating oil to the tie rod end jam nut and stud to ease removal.
- Measure the distance or count the turns from the inner to outer tie rod (or note alignment marks) to preserve initial toe settings.
- Loosen the jam nut on the inner tie rod and then remove the cotter pin and castle nut securing the outer tie rod stud to the steering knuckle.
- Separate the tie rod end from the knuckle using a tie rod puller or a pickle fork. Avoid damaging the steering knuckle.
- Unscrew the outer tie rod end from the inner tie rod, counting turns or matching the measured length to maintain alignment.
- Thread the new outer tie rod end onto the inner tie rod to the recorded position, then install into the steering knuckle.
- Tighten the castle nut to the manufacturer's torque specification and insert a new cotter pin (or torque to spec if non-cotter design).
- Tighten the inner tie rod jam nut against the outer tie rod end, and if greaseable, apply grease to the fitting until the boot is properly seated.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque lug nuts to spec.
- Have a professional alignment performed as soon as possible after installation to ensure correct toe settings and prevent uneven tire wear.
