70-74 Cuda Rear Valance Bump removal panel set. Includes 2 formed panels, 1 left and 1 right.
This compound shaped patch panel will allow removal of the factory "bump" in the rear valance that creates clearance for the rear spring shackle and replaces it with a smooth panel. Used when eliminating the leaf spring suspension like with coil over and 4-link style rear suspensions.
NOTE: If you are relocating the leaf springs inboard, you will need to re-install the "bump" or create a clearance on the valance for the new location of the leaf spring rear shackle (approx 4.5" inboard). If your Cuda Valence has exhaust tip cutouts, new new inboard clearance bump will be close to the OEM exhaust tip openings and you should mockup the exhaust and make adjustments before paint and assembly.
Requires cutting, forming, fabricating and welding.
Auto Metal Direct is a team of true car guys with years of experience in sheet metal reproduction, car restoration and paint/body work. We believe that quality is not subjective! Our mission is to provide the best customer experience for the Ford, Mopar and GM classic car markets - both in products and in service.
Our panels are made from proper gauge steel and include all correct-as-original clips, tabs, flanges, bends and seams. Each time a prototype body panel comes off of a new tooling, we test fit it on a car. The marked up prototype is then used to change and improve the tools, and a new prototype is produced. This procedure might be repeated multiple times but, once the part is finally approved, you can be assured of a quality part.
