GM-based steering columns are a popular swap for classic car owners of every make and model. This new ignition switch adapter assembly allows most 1968-1974 Mopar owners with a stock dash harness or any American Autowire Classic Update dash harness to plug directly into any stock or aftermarket GM column-mounted ignition switch.
This kit is a must if using a GM column-mounted ignition switch with any stock Mopar ignition set-up; the car will not start or operate properly without it. In the case of a Classic Update harness, the adapter is plug-n-play with no additional cutting, terminating or building necessary. Simply plug the adapter onto your dash harness, and then into the column-mounted ignition switch.
In the case of use with a stock Mopar dash harness, simply remove the stock ignition switch connector and replace with the supplied mating connector. The kit comes with full color instructions, and provides all the necessary terminals and connectors to complete the installation.
