Beltline molding and glass run channel kit (left and right, 8 pieces - WFK 3111 61) provides a complete replacement solution for worn window channels and beltline trims. The kit secures and guides the door glass, seals against water and wind intrusion, and restores the factory appearance of the door opening. Built for long service life, these components reduce noise and vibration, protect paint and glass edges from abrasion, and simplify window operation. Verify fitment by part number before purchase to ensure compatibility with your vehicle.
Features:
- Complete 8-piece kit includes left- and right-hand beltline moldings and inner glass run channels for full door restoration.
- Durable metal spines combined with EPDM rubber sealing lips resist weathering and maintain a tight seal.
- Smooth glass guidance reduces binding and noisy operation while protecting window edges and door finish.
- Helps prevent water intrusion, drafts, and road noise for improved cabin comfort.
- Direct-fit design simplifies replacement and restores the vehicle's original appearance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–3 hours (both sides, depending on vehicle and experience)
Instructions:
- Prepare the vehicle: park on level ground, disconnect the battery if required for door electronics, and lower the window glass to a mid or down position as needed.
- Remove the door panel and any inner vapor barrier to expose the beltline and glass run areas. Keep track of all fasteners and clips.
- Carefully remove the old beltline molding and glass run channel components by prying clips or cutting adhesive where necessary. Take care not to damage the door paint or glass.
- Clean the channel area thoroughly with alcohol or adhesive remover to remove old glue, dirt, and corrosion. Dry the area completely.
- Test-fit each new piece (top to bottom/front to rear) to ensure correct orientation and fit. Identify left/right components before final installation.
- If recommended for your vehicle, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the contact surfaces indicated by the manufacturer. Avoid excess adhesive that could interfere with window movement.
- Install the glass run channels first: seat the top edge into the door frame, then press the channel fully into place working along its length. Use a soft-faced mallet to gently tap into position if needed.
- Install the beltline molding by aligning the clips or flange into the door edge and pressing firmly from front to rear until fully seated. Reinstall any end caps or retainers.
- Reinstall the inner vapor barrier (if removed), reconnect any electrical connectors, and reinstall the door panel and trim pieces.
- Cycle the window several times to confirm smooth operation and proper sealing. Allow any adhesive to cure per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions before exposing to heavy use or rain.
