Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, set the parking brake, and disconnect the negative battery terminal if you will be removing electrical components.
- If necessary, remove windshield wipers and any cowl trim pieces to access the damaged clips.
- Carefully pry out the old clip using a trim tool or flathead screwdriver; use needle-nose pliers if the clip is broken into pieces.
- Align the cowl panel or trim with the mounting holes so the locator pins meet the holes.
- Position the new clip over the hole and press firmly until you hear or feel it snap into place.
- Reinstall any removed trim and wipers, ensuring panels sit flush and gaps are even.
- Test for secure fit and verify there are no rattles; replace additional clips as needed.
- If clips are tight or frozen, spray a small amount of lubricant on the hole area and work slowly to avoid damaging the panel.
