Instructions:
- Park on level ground, turn off the vehicle, and open the hood to access the cowl area; wear safety glasses.
- Carefully remove the cowl cover or trim piece retaining the old clips. Use a trim tool or flathead screwdriver to pry up the old fasteners without damaging the panel.
- Clean the clip mounting holes and surrounding surfaces with a rag (and isopropyl alcohol if oily) to ensure a secure fit.
- Position the cowl panel or trim in its correct location, aligning the mounting holes.
- Insert each new clip into its corresponding hole and press firmly until the clip seats and the panel locks in place; use needle-nose pliers for final seating if needed.
- Double-check panel alignment and that each clip is fully engaged; replace any additional worn clips as needed.
- Close the hood and inspect for gaps, wind noise, or looseness while driving at low speed to confirm a secure installation.
