Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and ensure the rear hatch/window area is accessible.
- Carefully remove interior trim panels or weatherstripping that cover the molding ends using a trim tool to avoid damage.
- Gently pry out the existing rear window molding starting at one end; remove any retaining clips or screws and set aside fasteners if reusable.
- Locate and remove the damaged or worn bracket(s); use a screwdriver or pliers as needed to disengage clips or fasteners.
- Clean the mounting channel and surrounding area with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, old adhesive, and debris.
- Position the new bracket into the original mounting location, aligning tabs or holes with the factory slots.
- Secure the bracket by pressing in the retaining clip or reinstalling the original fastener(s). Ensure a snug fit without over-tightening.
- Re-seat the molding over the bracket, working from one end to the other to ensure full engagement of clips.
- Reinstall any removed trim panels or weatherstripping and verify the molding is flush and evenly aligned.
- Close the hatch/window and check for wind noise, proper fit, and any signs of gaps or movement; make minor adjustments if needed.
