The Precision Door Weatherstrip Seal, Left or Right Hand DWB 3110 72 is a 72-inch door sealing strip engineered to restore and maintain a watertight, quiet door closure on compatible vehicles. Designed for either left- or right-hand installation, this EPDM-style seal replaces worn or damaged weatherstripping to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise and vibration, and protect door edges from corrosion. The profile matches OEM-style channels, is durable against UV and temperature extremes, and can be trimmed for a precise fit — making it an ideal restoration or maintenance part for classic and modern vehicles (confirm fitment before purchase).
Features:
- 72-inch DWB 3110 profile fits left or right hand door applications and can be trimmed to length.
- Made from durable EPDM-style rubber for long-lasting resistance to UV, ozone and temperature extremes.
- Seals the door to prevent water leaks, reduce wind noise and minimize vibration.
- OEM-style profile for secure channel fit and smooth door operation.
- Easy to install — push-in or adhesive-backed application options depending on vehicle.
- Ideal for restoration or replacement when original weatherstrip is cracked, compressed or missing.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the door and remove the old weatherstrip by gently prying it out of the channel with a trim tool.
- Clean the channel thoroughly, removing old adhesive and debris; wipe with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new DWB 3110 seal along the door perimeter and trim to the correct length if necessary (measure twice, cut once).
- If the vehicle uses adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel per the adhesive manufacturer’s directions.
- Press the new weatherstrip into the channel starting at one end and working around the door; use a roller or block of wood to seat the seal evenly and ensure full engagement.
- Allow adhesive to cure if used (refer to adhesive cure time), then close the door slowly to check for proper fit, smooth operation, and even compression of the seal.
- Trim any excess material and re-check all door functions; make final adjustments to ensure there are no gaps or pinch points.
