Instructions:
- Park on a flat surface, set the parking brake, and protect the cowl and paint with masking tape and towels.
- Carefully remove the old top molding: pry out any trim retainers or clips using a trim tool or flat-blade screwdriver. Keep track of reusable clips.
- Clean the windshield edge and cowl area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive remover to eliminate old adhesive, dirt, and grease. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new top molding along the windshield to verify orientation and clip locations. If necessary, transfer any reusable clips or install new retainers.
- If the vehicle requires adhesive or sealant, apply a continuous bead per the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations. Otherwise align the molding and engage the retention features.
- Press the molding firmly into place along the windshield edge, seating clips or retainers until they snap in. Work from one end to the other to ensure an even fit.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately and re-check that the molding is fully seated and aligned. Use masking tape to hold the molding if required until adhesive cures.
- Allow any applied adhesive or sealant to cure per the product instructions, then remove protective tape and perform a final inspection and water test for leaks.
