Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and protect surrounding trim and paint with masking tape.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip using a trim tool and scraper, taking care not to damage the windshield molding or pinch points.
- Clean the contact surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to remove adhesive residue, dirt, and oils.
- Dry-fit each new weatherstrip piece around the windshield to confirm orientation and fit before applying adhesive.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or flange as recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Position the weatherstrip in place, starting at one corner and working around the perimeter to avoid twists or kinks.
- Press the seal firmly into the channel, using light, even pressure; use masking tape to hold the seal in position if needed while adhesive sets.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately with a clean cloth and solvent recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Allow adhesive to cure fully per adhesive instructions before exposing to moisture or driving the vehicle.
- Inspect the seal for gaps and re-torque or reseat any areas as needed to ensure a continuous, watertight fit.
