Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and work in a well-ventilated, dry area. If windshield glass must be removed for your application, professional removal/installation is recommended.
- Carefully remove any exterior molding or trim pieces that overlap the weatherstrip using trim tools and screwdrivers as needed.
- Remove the old weatherstrip by pulling it away from the flange; cut sections with a utility knife if corroded or stuck.
- Clean the flange and surrounding area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or seam cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease. Allow to dry fully.
- Dry-fit the new weatherstrip along the flange to confirm orientation and fit. Trim excess length only if necessary, using a sharp utility knife.
- If adhesive is required for your vehicle, apply a continuous bead of recommended urethane or weatherstrip adhesive to the flange per adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Press the weatherstrip firmly into place, starting at the center and working outward to avoid wrinkles or gaps. Ensure the seal seats fully along the entire flange.
- Use masking tape to hold the weatherstrip in position while adhesive cures, following the adhesive cure time on the product label.
- Reinstall any removed molding or trim pieces and verify that all clips and fasteners are secured.
- Inspect the installation for gaps and perform a water test (spray with a hose) once adhesive has cured to confirm leak-free sealing.
