A complete trunk bolt kit designed for 1967-1969 Dodge and Plymouth A-Body vehicles to replace corroded or missing hardware and restore secure trunk fastening. The kit supplies OE-style bolts, washers and nuts with a corrosion-resistant finish to ensure long-lasting reliability and proper alignment. Ideal for restorations and maintenance, it simplifies trunk reassembly and helps prevent vibration, rattles, and water intrusion.
Features:
- Fits 1967-1969 Dodge and Plymouth A-Body vehicles (trunk hardware replacement).
- Complete kit includes bolts, nuts and washers sized for OEM trunk attachment points.
- High-grade hardware with a corrosion-resistant finish for long-term durability.
- Restores correct trunk alignment and reduces vibration and rattles.
- Easy-to-install OEM-style replacements for restoration and maintenance projects.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, engage the parking brake and open the trunk. Support the trunk lid with a prop rod or have a helper hold it.
- Spray penetrating oil on any old, rusted fasteners and allow a few minutes to soak if removal is required.
- Remove existing trunk bolts, nuts and washers using the appropriate sockets. Keep track of any trim or spacers.
- Clean mounting holes and threads with a wire brush or thread cleaner to remove rust and debris.
- If desired, apply a light coating of anti-seize to new bolt threads to aid future removal and reduce corrosion.
- Install new bolts, washers and nuts from the kit. Hand-start all fasteners to ensure correct thread engagement and alignment.
- Tighten hardware evenly and progressively. If available, torque to the factory specification; otherwise tighten snugly and avoid over-torquing.
- Confirm trunk lid alignment and operation. Make any minor adjustments before final torque.
- Re-check all fasteners after initial use (or after 24 hours/short drive) to ensure they remain secure.
