- 24-piece kit provides complete front windshield molding clip replacement.
- OEM-style design restores factory fit and alignment for trim and molding.
- Corrosion-resistant plated steel construction for long-lasting durability.
- Prevents vibration and wind noise by securing molding firmly to the body.
- Simple press-fit installation—ideal for restorations and maintenance projects.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Carefully remove the windshield molding by prying gently with a trim removal tool, working along the edge to avoid bending the trim.
- Remove any remaining old clips from the body channel using needle-nose pliers or a flat screwdriver; keep track of clip locations if some differ.
- Clean the molding channel and clip mounting area with a cloth and mild solvent to remove dirt, adhesive residue and rust for a flush fit.
- Test-fit a clip into the molding channel to confirm orientation (clip head should align with the molding retention slots).
- Starting at the center, press each new clip into the body channel or molding slot until it snaps into place; use a small hammer with a cloth or a trim tool to seat stubborn clips without damaging trim.
- Align the windshield molding over the clips and gently press it onto the clips from the center out toward each end to ensure even seating and correct alignment.
- Inspect the entire perimeter to make sure all clips are fully engaged and that the molding sits flush with the body. Replace any clips that did not seat correctly.
- Recheck for gaps, secure trim edges, and clean the area. Allow any disturbed adhesives or sealants to cure per manufacturer directions if used.
