Front lower left-hand ball joint designed for 1962–1972 Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth vehicles equipped with drum brakes. This direct-fit replacement secures the lower control arm to the steering knuckle, maintaining proper wheel alignment, steering response, and suspension geometry. Built for durability and reliable performance in classic restoration and maintenance applications, it helps eliminate play, reduce vibration, and restore factory handling characteristics. Precision-machined components and hardened bearing surfaces deliver long service life and dependable operation, while a greaseable design (where applicable) simplifies periodic maintenance.
Features:
- Fitment: 1962–1972 Chrysler / Dodge / Plymouth — front lower, left-hand; for vehicles with drum brakes.
- Direct-fit replacement that restores correct suspension geometry and steering alignment.
- Hardened bearing surfaces and precision machining for long-lasting durability and reliability.
- Helps reduce vibration, eliminate play, and improve steering response in classic cars.
- Greaseable design (where applicable) for easier maintenance and extended service life.

Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 60–120 minutes
Instructions:
- Park on level ground, engage parking brake, and loosen lug nuts on the front left wheel.
- Raise the vehicle with a floor jack and secure it on jack stands. Remove the wheel.
- If necessary, remove the brake drum and backing plate components to access the knuckle and lower control arm.
- Remove the cotter pin and castle nut (or retaining nut) from the ball joint stud.
- Separate the ball joint stud from the steering knuckle using a tie rod separator or pickle fork. Support the knuckle to avoid stressing brake lines.
- Unbolt or press out the old ball joint from the lower control arm using a ball joint press or suitable C-clamp and adapters.
- Clean the control arm bore and inspect for damage or rust. Prepare the new ball joint for installation (apply grease if specified).
- Press or bolt the new ball joint into the lower control arm until fully seated, following orientation markings if present.
- Reinstall the steering knuckle onto the ball joint stud, tighten to the manufacturer torque specification, and insert a new cotter pin.
- Reassemble the brake components and reinstall the wheel. Lower the vehicle and torque the lug nuts to specification.
- If the ball joint is greaseable, apply grease via the zerk fitting until fresh grease appears. Test drive and check for proper steering and suspension operation.
- Have front-end alignment checked and adjusted as needed after replacement.
