Instructions:
- Park on level ground, engage parking brake and loosen the wheel lug nuts slightly.
- Raise the vehicle and secure on jack stands, then remove the wheel to access the tie rod end.
- Mark the position of the old tie rod end on the threaded adjuster or count turns to preserve alignment settings.
- Remove the cotter pin (if present) and loosen the castle nut securing the tie rod end to the steering knuckle.
- Separate the tie rod end from the steering knuckle using a tie rod end puller or a pickle fork; avoid damaging the knuckle.
- Unscrew the tie rod end from the inner tie rod/adjuster the same number of turns counted or until the marks align.
- Thread the new tie rod end onto the adjuster to the marked position, then insert the ball stud into the knuckle and hand-tighten the supplied nut.
- Torque the tie rod nut to the vehicle specification, then insert and bend a new cotter pin if required.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, torque the lug nuts to specification, and perform a professional wheel alignment as soon as possible.
