Front sway bar link (right/left) designed to restore steering stability and reduce body roll on a wide range of vehicles from 1991–2019. This direct-fit replacement connects the anti-roll bar to the suspension, maintaining correct anti-sway geometry and improving handling, tire wear, and ride confidence. Constructed for durability and reliable performance, it provides a cost-effective solution for worn or damaged links during routine suspension maintenance or restoration projects. Easy to install with common hand tools, it’s suitable for do-it-yourself mechanics and professional shops alike.
Features:
- Fitment: Front sway bar link fits select 1991–2019 Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Lincoln, Mercury and Plymouth models (verify year, make, model and part number before purchase).
- Direct-fit replacement for worn or broken front stabilizer links to restore proper anti-roll bar function.
- Durable construction resists corrosion and wear for long service life under road conditions.
- Helps reduce body roll, improve handling response, and prevent uneven tire wear.
- Simple installation with common tools — ideal for restoration, maintenance, or suspension repair projects.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes per side (may vary by vehicle)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, engage parking brake and chock rear wheels.
- Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly, then raise the front of the vehicle with a floor jack and support securely on jack stands. Remove the front wheel to access the sway bar link.
- Inspect the sway bar link and surrounding components. Apply penetrating oil to fasteners if corroded.
- Remove the nut(s) securing the sway bar link to the sway bar and control arm/strut. Hold the stud with a wrench or use an appropriate socket to prevent spinning while removing fasteners.
- Remove the old sway bar link. Compare new link to old part to confirm correct length and orientation.
- Install the new sway bar link by positioning it between the sway bar and suspension mount. Insert bolts/studs and hand-tighten nuts to hold it in place.
- Torque all fasteners to the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications using a torque wrench. If torque specs are unknown, consult a factory service manual or repair guide.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the wheel lug nuts to specification.
- Test drive at low speed to ensure no unusual noises and proper handling. Re-check fastener torque after initial drive.
