Inner tie rod end for right or left hand steering applications on 2011-2015 Dodge and Jeep vehicles. This replacement part connects the steering rack to the outer tie rod, restoring precise steering response and eliminating play. Built from hardened steel with corrosion-resistant plating and precision-machined threads, it delivers reliable long-term durability under road and weather exposure. Designed as a direct-replacement part for worn or damaged inner tie rod ends, it helps maintain proper wheel alignment, improves vehicle stability, and reduces uneven tire wear. Verify fitment for your specific year and model before installation.
Features:
- Fitment: 2011-2015 Dodge and Jeep vehicles (verify exact model compatibility: e.g., Ram, Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and select other models that use this inner tie rod design).
- Hardened steel construction for strength and long service life.
- Precision-machined threads and tapered stud for secure steering linkage connection.
- Corrosion-resistant finish to resist rust and road contaminants.
- Restoration/replacement part that eliminates steering play and helps maintain alignment.

Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes per side
Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, engage parking brake and chock rear wheels.
- Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly, lift vehicle with jack and secure on jack stands, then remove the wheel.
- Locate the inner tie rod at the steering rack and remove any protective boots or clamps to access the joint.
- Loosen the outer tie rod jam nut and mark the position or measure the length from a reference point to help preserve alignment.
- Disconnect the outer tie rod from the steering knuckle (remove cotter pin if present and unbolt), then separate with a tie rod puller or pickle fork.
- Remove the outer tie rod from the inner tie rod to free the assembly and access the inner tie rod end.
- Apply penetrating oil to the inner tie rod threads and use an inner tie rod tool or appropriate wrench to unthread and remove the old inner tie rod from the steering rack.
- Clean the rack threads and inspect for damage. If sealing surfaces or threads are damaged, repair or replace the rack before installing a new tie rod.
- Thread the new inner tie rod into the rack by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten to the manufacturer’s torque specification. Use thread locker if desired per vehicle service recommendations.
- Reattach the outer tie rod and set it to the original reference measurement or mark to approximate alignment. Tighten the jam nut to specification.
- Reinstall steering boot and secure clamps. Reinstall wheel, lower vehicle, and torque lug nuts to spec.
- Have a professional wheel alignment performed as soon as possible after replacement to ensure proper tire wear and steering geometry.
