Instructions:
- Lower the window slightly (about 1–2 inches) to gain access to the beltline area.
- Protect painted surfaces with masking tape where you will pry.
- Carefully pry up the old molding using a plastic trim tool; if clips remain, remove them from the door channel.
- Clean the channel and contact area with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to remove dirt and adhesive residue.
- Compare the new molding to the old piece to confirm orientation (left/right) and clip spacing.
- If using adhesive, apply a thin bead to the mounting surface per the adhesive instructions; adhesive is optional if clips are intact and fit snugly.
- Align the front end of the molding into position, then press the molding along the beltline toward the rear, engaging each clip until fully seated. Use a rubber mallet lightly if needed to snap clips in place.
- Reinstall any screws or end caps removed earlier and cycle the window up and down to verify clearance and correct fit.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive and allow adhesive to cure if used (follow adhesive manufacturer cure times).
