Instructions:
- Park on level ground and lower windows or remove soft top panels as needed for access.
- Carefully pry away the old beltline molding by locating and releasing the retaining clips; use a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching paint.
- Remove any remaining clips or fasteners from the body and inspect the mounting channel for corrosion, dirt, or old adhesive; clean thoroughly with a cloth and isopropyl alcohol.
- If clips are damaged, replace them before installing the new molding to ensure a secure fit.
- Starting at the front of the door opening, align the new molding with the mounting channel and press firmly into place along the length so each clip seats into its factory location.
- Reinstall any screws or fasteners that were removed and confirm the molding sits flush and continuous along the beltline.
- Cycle the window and check for proper clearance and sealing; adjust seating if necessary by gently re-seating clips.
- Wipe the molding and surrounding area clean to remove fingerprints or residue; inspect for gaps to ensure a weather-tight fit.
