This two-piece Precision Door Weatherstrip Seal Kit (DWP 3130 64) provides left and right door seals engineered to restore a vehicle’s original weather protection and quiet cabin performance. The seals compress to form a tight barrier that prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise, and improves interior climate control. Constructed from durable EPDM-style rubber with reinforced mounting edges, the kit is ideal for restoration and routine replacement projects. Easy to trim and install, the kit restores door sealing performance for a snug, long-lasting fit—verify compatibility by part number before installation.
Features:
- Left and right door seal kit (2 pieces) for vehicles that use part number DWP 3130 64 — verify fitment before purchase.
- Durable EPDM-style rubber resists weathering, ozone, and UV exposure for long service life.
- Reinforced mounting edge provides secure seating in factory channels and helps prevent seal roll-out.
- Reduces wind noise and prevents water leaks to protect interior trim and electronics.
- Simple trim-to-fit design and adhesive-friendly backing make replacement fast during restorations or maintenance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Confirm fitment by comparing old seal to the new kit and the part number DWP 3130 64.
- Remove the old weatherstrip: carefully pull out retaining clips or adhesive and use a trim tool to avoid damaging metal surfaces.
- Clean the channel and mating surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or solvent to remove old adhesive, grease, and debris; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal along the full length of the door to identify any trimming points and ensure correct orientation for left/right pieces.
- If trimming is required, measure and cut the seal with scissors or a utility knife; make clean square cuts to preserve sealing performance.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or the seal’s mounting edge where recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Starting at the hinge end, press the seal into the channel, working toward the striker end. Use a trim tool or fingers to seat the reinforcement edge firmly into the groove.
- Use masking tape to hold the seal in place if needed while the adhesive sets; apply firm continuous pressure or a rubber mallet to ensure full contact.
- Close the door carefully to verify fit and seal compression; adjust as necessary, then allow adhesive curing time per adhesive instructions before driving.
