Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, roll down the windows slightly, and disconnect the negative battery terminal if working near powered components.
- Carefully remove any interior trim or weatherstripping that overlaps the beltline molding using a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching paint.
- Gently pry up and remove the old molding. If it is held by clips, work along the length to free each clip; if adhesive is used, heat lowly with a heat gun to soften adhesive and peel away.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease. Allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new moldings along each door to verify alignment and fit. Mark reference points with masking tape if needed.
- If clips are required and available, align and press the molding into the clip locations until you hear/feel them seat. If adhesive tape is recommended, apply automotive-grade double-sided tape or adhesive promoter per product instructions.
- Starting at one end, firmly press the molding into place along the full length, applying even pressure to ensure full contact with the door edge and proper seating of clips or adhesive.
- Reinstall any removed weatherstripping or interior trim pieces and cycle the window to confirm smooth operation and proper clearance.
- Inspect all four moldings for secure fit, gaps, or misalignment. Re-torque or reseat as necessary and allow any adhesive to cure per manufacturer recommendations before exposing to water.
