Instructions:
- Carefully pry off the molding or trim piece using a trim tool or flat-blade screwdriver to expose the clip.
- Remove the old or broken clip. Apply penetrating oil and work with pliers or a punch if the clip is seized.
- Clean the mounting hole or channel of dirt, rust, and debris with a rag so the new clip seats fully.
- Position the new clip so its retaining tangs align with the panel hole or channel.
- Press the clip into the panel until it snaps or locks into place; use a small hammer and punch carefully if needed.
- Align the molding with the clip and firmly press the molding onto the clip until it engages and the trim sits flush.
- Verify the trim is secure and free of movement; repeat for additional clips as required.
