Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and wear safety gear. If possible, have a helper available.
- Remove any trim, mirror, wipers, and fasteners that secure the windshield or cowl to access the old weatherstrip.
- Carefully pry out the old weatherstrip pieces using a trim tool; avoid bending or scratching the windshield frame.
- Clean the mounting surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oils. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new pieces (outer frame and inner channel) to confirm alignment before final installation.
- If recommended or needed, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting channel per adhesive instructions.
- Press the new weatherstrip into place, working around the windshield perimeter. Use a rubber mallet or firm hand pressure to seat the seal evenly.
- Reinstall any removed hardware, trim, wipers, and mirror. Check that fasteners are tightened to proper torque.
- Inspect the seal for gaps and ensure the windshield sits squarely in the frame. Make any minor adjustments as needed.
- Perform a water test (hose) and road test to confirm there are no leaks or wind noise; recheck and reseal areas if necessary.
