USM D1760 windshield molding engineered for 2008–2020 Dodge Challenger models. This molding secures and aligns the windshield, creates a weather-tight seal to prevent leaks and wind noise, and restores the exterior trim to factory appearance. Made for long-term exposure to sun, rain, and road conditions, it delivers reliable durability and an OEM-style fit that simplifies replacement and restoration projects.
Features:
- Fits 2008–2020 Dodge Challenger (vehicle-specific fitment).
- Constructed from high-grade weather-resistant rubber with corrosion-resistant fastening elements for long life.
- Secures the windshield, maintains proper alignment, and creates a watertight seal to prevent leaks.
- Reduces wind noise and vibration while restoring factory exterior trim appearance.
- Direct replacement design for easier installation and reliable, long-term performance.
- Ideal for restorations, collision repairs, or routine replacement to maintain vehicle integrity.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake. Lift and remove the windshield wiper arms following manufacturer procedure.
- Use a plastic trim removal tool or flathead screwdriver (protected with tape) to gently pry and remove the old molding from the windshield channel, working from one end to the other.
- Remove any retaining clips or adhesive residue; clean the windshield flange and channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or trim cleaner and a clean rag. Allow to dry.
- If retaining clips were used, inspect and replace any damaged clips before installing the new molding.
- Test-fit the new USM D1760 molding along the windshield edge to confirm orientation and alignment.
- If desired, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel where the molding will seat (follow adhesive instructions).
- Starting at one corner, press the new molding into the channel, working along the windshield and ensuring clips or fastening elements fully engage. Use firm, even pressure to seat the molding.
- Trim any excess material if applicable and reinstall windshield wiper arms to factory position. Verify even seating and a continuous seal around the windshield.
- Allow adhesive (if used) to cure per manufacturer directions before driving. Check for leaks and proper fit after a short test drive.
