Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level surface and protect surrounding trim and paint with tape or rags.
- Carefully pry out the old top molding using a trim tool; remove any retaining clips and set aside if reusable.
- Use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften old adhesive if the molding is stubborn, then remove remaining adhesive and debris.
- Clean the windshield flange and top trim channel with isopropyl alcohol; allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new molding along the windshield edge to confirm alignment and clip locations.
- If adhesive is recommended, apply a thin bead of automotive trim adhesive or sealant to the mounting channel per product instructions.
- Start at one end and press the new molding into place, engaging any clips or tabs; use tape to hold it while adhesive cures if needed.
- Trim any excess material for a flush fit and reinstall any retained clips or fasteners.
- Allow adhesive or sealant to cure per manufacturer recommendations (typically 24 hours) before driving and check for proper sealing and fit.
