Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and protect the hood and surrounding paint with a towel or blanket.
- Carefully remove any exterior trim screws or retaining clips that hold the old windshield molding in place.
- Use a trim removal tool to pry out the existing molding a little at a time, taking care not to crack the windshield or damage the paint.
- Clean the windshield edge and channel thoroughly with solvent and a clean rag to remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris.
- Test-fit the new molding into the channel to verify alignment with clip holes and corners before final installation.
- Starting at one end, press the new molding into the channel, working steadily along the perimeter; use a rubber mallet or block of wood to seat the molding evenly if needed.
- Reinstall any retaining clips or screws removed earlier; trim or adjust the molding ends as required for a snug fit.
- Wipe down the area, inspect for gaps or misalignment, and allow any sealant (if used) to cure per manufacturer recommendations before driving.
