Instructions:
- Park on a level surface and wear safety gloves and eye protection.
- Carefully remove the old windshield molding using a plastic trim tool and flathead screwdriver to release clips without damaging the glass or body.
- Remove any old adhesive, dirt, and debris from the windshield channel using a clean cloth and rubbing alcohol; allow to dry thoroughly.
- Compare the new molding to the old piece to confirm correct length, shape, and clip positions.
- If required, apply a thin bead of automotive urethane or recommended adhesive to the channel per adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Begin installation at one corner and align the molding with the windshield edge, pressing clips or the bead into the channel as you go. Work along the full perimeter, ensuring each clip seats fully.
- Trim any excess molding if necessary and press firmly along the length to ensure a continuous seal and even fit.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per the adhesive manufacturer’s recommended time before driving. Re-check for gaps or loose sections and adjust if needed.
