Precision Windshield Molding WFS 1118-95R100 is an OEM-style windshield channel molding engineered to restore the seal and finished appearance around the windshield. Designed to fit factory windshield channels on compatible vehicles (verify fitment by part number or vehicle guide), this molding secures the glass edge, helps prevent water intrusion and wind noise, and shields the windshield perimeter from road debris and UV damage. Constructed from durable, weather-resistant materials, it delivers reliable long-term performance and a factory-correct look while being straightforward to replace during restoration or maintenance.
Features:
- OEM-style channel molding restores factory appearance and fit
- Weather-resistant material resists UV, cracking, and shrinking
- Seals the windshield edge to prevent water leaks and reduce wind noise
- Protects windshield perimeter from road debris and corrosion
- Direct-replacement part for restoration or trim repair; easy to trim to fit if needed
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and wear gloves to protect hands.
- Carefully pry and remove the old molding using a plastic trim tool; protect surrounding paint and trim.
- Clean the windshield channel thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove dirt, old adhesive, and residue. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new molding along the windshield edge to confirm orientation and length; trim excess if necessary using a sharp blade.
- If the vehicle requires adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of recommended windshield molding adhesive to the channel per adhesive instructions.
- Starting at one corner, press the new molding into the channel, working around the perimeter. Use a rubber mallet or block to seat the molding evenly without damaging it.
- Secure corners and any loose sections with masking tape and allow any adhesive to cure as specified by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Remove tape after curing, inspect the seal for gaps, and clean any excess adhesive or fingerprints.
