Instructions:
- Confirm correct part number and vehicle fitment.
- Park vehicle on level ground and protect surrounding paint with masking tape or covers.
- Carefully remove any interior or exterior trim pieces and retain mounting hardware.
- Loosen and remove the old windshield molding by prying gently with a plastic trim tool; cut away adhesive if necessary with a putty knife.
- Clean the windshield flange and channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol; remove all old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion to ensure a solid seal.
- Test-fit the new WFS D1186 molding along the flange to confirm orientation and fit before applying adhesive.
- Apply primer or manufacturer-recommended adhesive/urethane to the flange if required; follow adhesive cure and handling instructions.
- Seat the molding firmly into place, working from one side to the other to avoid wrinkles or gaps; use masking tape to hold molding while adhesive sets if needed.
- Reinstall any removed trim and hardware, ensuring even compression and alignment around the entire windshield.
- Allow adhesive to cure per product instructions (typically several hours) before driving; check for proper sealing and make any final adjustments.
