Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and set the parking brake. If applicable, remove any exterior trim or cowl panel that covers the top molding per vehicle service procedures.
- Carefully pry up one end of the old top molding using a plastic trim tool or taped screwdriver to avoid scratching paint. Work along the molding to disengage clips or adhesive and remove the old molding.
- Inspect the molding channel and pinch weld for rust, damaged clips, or adhesive residue. Clean the channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a rag; remove any debris or old adhesive to ensure a secure fit.
- Install any replacement clips or fasteners into the channel if the originals are damaged or missing.
- Align the new WFT 620 top molding at one end of the windshield. Press the molding into the factory channel, working along the length and seating each clip or edge progressively. Use firm, even pressure or a rubber mallet to fully engage the molding into the channel.
- Trim any excess material if the molding is longer than required, following the factory edge lines. Reinstall any removed trim or cowl panels and verify that all fasteners are secure.
- Inspect the installation for gaps, and check for proper sealing. Perform a water test or brief drive at low speed to confirm there is no wind noise or leakage.
