Direct-fit left and right door weatherstrip kit for Dodge Dakota trucks (1987–1996) — fits all models except convertibles. This 2-piece seal set restores the original door sealing function to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise and drafts, and protect interior trim from moisture and dust. Manufactured from durable, weather-resistant rubber, the seals resist ozone, UV, heat and cold for long-term reliability. Designed for OEM-style fitment, this kit is an easy, cost-effective way to replace worn, cracked, or flattened seals during restoration or routine maintenance.
Features:
- Fits 1987–1996 Dodge Dakota (all models except convertibles) — left and right, 2-piece kit.
- OE-style direct replacement for driver and passenger door seals.
- Durable EPDM rubber construction resists UV, ozone, heat and cold for long service life.
- Seals out water, wind noise, dust and debris to protect interior and prevent rust.
- Pre-formed design for straightforward installation and secure fit.
- Ideal for restoring original weatherproofing or replacing failing seals during maintenance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–60 minutes
Instructions:
- Remove the old weatherstrip: open the door and pull the old seal out of the channel; cut into sections if needed to free stubborn pieces.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or adhesive remover to eliminate old adhesive, dirt and residue; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal along the door edge to confirm orientation and length before applying any adhesive.
- If adhesive is required for your vehicle, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the flange or back of the seal following the adhesive manufacturer’s directions.
- Starting at one end, press the new seal firmly into the channel and work along the length of the door, ensuring the seal seats into corners and around bends.
- Trim any excess material for a neat finish and double-check both ends are fully seated and aligned.
- Close the door and verify even contact and sealing; allow any adhesive to cure the recommended time (typically 24 hours) before exposing to moisture or heavy use.
