A 48-piece windshield molding clip kit engineered to replace worn, broken, or missing trim fasteners and restore a secure, factory-style fit. These snap-in clips fasten windshield molding and trim, helping to align and seal the edge of the glass to prevent wind noise and water intrusion. Durable, corrosion-resistant construction delivers reliable retention and long service life while remaining easy to install for restoration or maintenance projects on a wide range of vehicles.
Features:
- 48-piece kit contains a comprehensive assortment of clips to replace common windshield molding fasteners.
- Durable, corrosion-resistant materials provide long-lasting retention and reduced risk of clip failure.
- Designed to secure windshield molding, reduce vibration and wind noise, and help maintain a watertight seal.
- Snap-in design for straightforward installation — press into channel or molding for a firm hold.
- Ideal for restoration and trim repair where original clips are missing, cracked, or damaged.
- Universal-style fit for many domestic and import vehicles; confirm clip style against OEM fasteners before installation.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and protect painted surfaces with tape or protective covers.
- Carefully remove the windshield molding or trim: use a plastic trim tool to pry out the molding to avoid damaging paint or glass.
- Remove any remaining old clips or broken pieces from the channel using needle-nose pliers; dispose of damaged clips.
- Clean the clip channel and mating surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth to remove dirt and adhesive residue.
- Test-fit a replacement clip against the molding/profile to verify correct orientation and fit.
- Install clips into the trim channel or onto the molding (depending on clip style). Press each clip until it snaps fully into place; use a rubber mallet with a block if extra force is needed.
- Reposition the molding over the windshield edge aligning each clip with its receptacle, then press firmly around the length of the molding to engage all clips.
- Inspect the molding for even seating and check for any gaps. Replace or tighten any clips that did not fully engage.
- Clean the area and allow the assembly to settle. Re-check after a short test drive to ensure no movement or noise remains.
