Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a flat surface and protect painted surfaces with tape or cloth.
- Carefully remove the old molding: use a plastic trim tool and flat-head screwdriver to release clips, and pliers for retained metal parts.
- Clean the windshield flange and surrounding area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and sealant.
- Test-fit the new molding to confirm orientation and fit before applying any adhesive.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin, even bead of approved weatherstrip adhesive to the flange following adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Starting at one corner, press the molding into place, engaging any metal retainers or OEM clip locations as you progress around the windshield.
- Trim any excess material with a utility knife and secure ends. Use masking tape to hold the molding in position while adhesive cures, if applicable.
- Allow adhesive to cure per the adhesive manufacturer's recommendations, then remove tape and inspect the seal for uniform contact and fit.
