- Clean the mounting surface: remove old adhesive, dirt, and sealant using rubbing alcohol and a lint-free cloth; allow surface to dry.
- Test-fit the new molding: position the new molding along the top edge to check alignment and clip/fastener locations.
- Apply adhesive if required: follow manufacturer recommendations for weatherstrip adhesive on contact points where clips are absent or adhesive was used originally.
