- Direct-fit replacement designed to match OE dimensions and simplify installation.

Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Park on level ground, set parking brake, and chock rear wheels.
- Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly, lift vehicle with a jack, and secure on jack stands. Remove the front wheel.
- Locate the outer left tie rod end connecting the steering knuckle to the inner tie rod via the adjusting sleeve.
- Mark the position of the adjusting sleeve relative to the inner tie rod to preserve alignment, then loosen the lock nut on the adjusting sleeve.
- Remove the cotter pin (if present) and loosen the castellated nut securing the tie rod end to the steering knuckle; separate the tie rod end using a tie rod puller or pickle fork.
- Unscrew the tie rod end from the inner tie rod/adjusting sleeve the same number of turns it took to remove the old unit (or use the marks made earlier) and remove the old part.
- Thread the new outer left tie rod end onto the inner tie rod/adjusting sleeve to the marked position, ensuring the same effective length to keep the vehicle close to prior alignment.
- Insert the tie rod stud into the steering knuckle, install and torque the retaining nut to the vehicle manufacturer’s specification, and secure with a new cotter pin if applicable.
- Tighten the adjusting sleeve lock nut to the specified torque and, if applicable, grease the joint via the zerk fitting until fresh grease appears.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the lug nuts to specification.
- Because steering geometry may have changed, have a professional wheel alignment performed as soon as possible after installation.
