Outer left-hand tie rod end for 2007-2012 Dodge and Jeep vehicles. This replacement part secures the steering knuckle to the steering rack, translating driver input into wheel movement while maintaining proper alignment and steering response. Designed for durability and dependable performance, the component resists wear and corrosion to extend service life and restore safe, precise steering. It’s an ideal service or restoration item for worn or damaged steering linkages, offering a direct-fit design that simplifies installation and returns factory steering feel.
Features:
  • Fits 2007-2012 Dodge / Jeep vehicles (outer left-hand tie rod end) — verify fitment for specific model and trim.
  • Durable alloy construction with corrosion-resistant finish for long service life.
  • Restores proper steering alignment and reduces play for improved handling and safety.
  • Direct-fit replacement designed to match OE dimensions and simplify installation.
  • Helps prevent uneven tire wear by maintaining correct toe settings.
  • Includes greaseable or sealed joint options to suit maintenance preferences.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Floor jack and jack stands
  • Wheel chocks
  • Lug wrench or impact gun
  • Combination wrenches and sockets (metric/standard as needed)
  • Torque wrench
  • Tie rod end puller or pickle fork
  • Pliers
  • Marker or tape to note adjusting sleeve position
  • Grease gun (if greaseable joint)
Instructions:
  1. Park on level ground, set parking brake, and chock rear wheels.
  2. Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly, lift vehicle with a jack, and secure on jack stands. Remove the front wheel.
  3. Locate the outer left tie rod end connecting the steering knuckle to the inner tie rod via the adjusting sleeve.
  4. Mark the position of the adjusting sleeve relative to the inner tie rod to preserve alignment, then loosen the lock nut on the adjusting sleeve.
  5. Remove the cotter pin (if present) and loosen the castellated nut securing the tie rod end to the steering knuckle; separate the tie rod end using a tie rod puller or pickle fork.
  6. Unscrew the tie rod end from the inner tie rod/adjusting sleeve the same number of turns it took to remove the old unit (or use the marks made earlier) and remove the old part.
  7. Thread the new outer left tie rod end onto the inner tie rod/adjusting sleeve to the marked position, ensuring the same effective length to keep the vehicle close to prior alignment.
  8. Insert the tie rod stud into the steering knuckle, install and torque the retaining nut to the vehicle manufacturer’s specification, and secure with a new cotter pin if applicable.
  9. Tighten the adjusting sleeve lock nut to the specified torque and, if applicable, grease the joint via the zerk fitting until fresh grease appears.
  10. Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the lug nuts to specification.
  11. Because steering geometry may have changed, have a professional wheel alignment performed as soon as possible after installation.
