Inner tie rod end (right or left hand) designed for direct-fit replacement on select 2011–2014 Chrysler and Dodge vehicles. This steering linkage component secures the inner end of the tie rod to the steering rack, maintaining proper wheel alignment and steering responsiveness. Built from heat-treated steel with corrosion-resistant plating and a sealed ball joint, it restores precise steering geometry, reduces play, and improves vehicle safety and handling. Ideal for maintenance, repair, or restoration projects where reliable, long-lasting performance and easy installation are required.
Features:
  • Fitment: Direct replacement for select 2011–2014 Chrysler and Dodge models (confirm vehicle compatibility by VIN or application guide).
  • Material: Heat-treated steel construction with corrosion-resistant plating for long service life.
  • Function: Secures the inner tie rod to the steering rack to maintain alignment and reduce steering play.
  • Design: Sealed ball joint and dust boot protect internal components from contaminants and extend service life.
  • Installation: Direct-fit design for straightforward replacement; can be used in repair and restoration applications.
  • Durability: Precision-machined surfaces and hardened stud for reliable performance under load.
  • Serviceability: Greaseable option available on some units for extended maintenance intervals.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 45-90 minutes per side
Suggested Tools:
  • Jack and jack stands
  • Wheel chocks
  • Lug wrench
  • Torque wrench
  • Socket set
  • Open-end wrenches
  • Tie rod end puller or pickle fork
  • Pliers
  • Hammer
  • Measuring tape or alignment tool
  • Penetrating oil
  • Grease (if applicable)
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on level ground, engage parking brake, and place wheel chocks behind rear wheels.
  2. Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly, raise the vehicle with a jack, and support securely on jack stands. Remove the wheel.
  3. Locate the inner tie rod end at the steering rack and apply penetrating oil to fasteners if corroded.
  4. Loosen and remove the clamp or retaining nut securing the outer tie rod (if removing full assembly) and separate the outer tie rod from the steering knuckle using a tie rod puller or pickle fork.
  5. If replacing only the inner tie rod, remove the retaining nut at the inner tie rod stud and disconnect the inner tie rod from the rack end. Use an inner tie rod removal tool if necessary.
  6. Count the number of full turns required to remove the old inner tie rod from the rack or measure the exposed thread length to help approximate alignment on the new part.
  7. Install the new inner tie rod by threading it onto the steering rack to the same turn count or measured position. Torque the inner tie rod nut to the manufacturer's specification.
  8. Reattach the outer tie rod (if removed) and torque its nut to specification. Install any cotter pins or locking devices if required.
  9. Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the lug nuts to specification.
  10. Because tie rod replacement affects wheel alignment, have a professional wheel alignment performed immediately after installation to ensure proper tracking and tire wear.
