The Precision Glass Run Channel, Left Hand GRL 3110 02 is a left-side replacement window guide that secures and aligns the door glass while forming a weather-tight seal. It restores proper window travel, reduces wind noise and prevents water intrusion that can damage interior trim. Designed for restoration and maintenance, confirm part number GRL 3110 02 against your vehicle to ensure correct fitment before installation.
Features:
- High-quality left-hand glass run channel for vehicles requiring part GRL 3110 02.
- Constructed from durable, weather-resistant rubber to resist cracking and shrinkage.
- Guides and stabilizes the door glass for smooth operation and proper alignment.
- Creates a tight seal to reduce wind noise and prevent water leaks into the door cavity.
- Direct replacement to restore original fit and function during restoration or repair projects.
- Easy to install with common hand tools when replacing a damaged or worn channel.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours
Instructions:
- Verify part number GRL 3110 02 and confirm left-hand (driver or passenger) orientation for your vehicle.
- Disconnect the vehicle battery if required by your vehicle’s service manual for safety.
- Remove the interior door panel: detach trim clips, remove screws/fasteners, and carefully lift the panel away to access the inner door.
- Lower the window (if possible) to gain clearance and support the glass in a safe, accessible position (use tape to hold glass if needed).
- Remove any retaining clips, bolts, or screws holding the old glass run channel in place and carefully pull the old channel out of the door frame.
- Clean the channel mounting area and glass edges of old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion. Wipe surfaces dry and inspect for any additional damage.
- Lightly lubricate the new channel with silicone spray or soapy water to ease installation and prevent pinching of the glass.
- Start the new channel into the top of the door frame and work it into place along the full length, ensuring it seats evenly and matches any locating tabs or clips.
- Reinstall any retaining clips or fasteners to secure the new channel. Re-check that the channel is fully seated and that the glass slides smoothly within it.
- Operate the window up and down several times to confirm smooth travel, proper alignment, and that there are no obstructions or binding.
- Reinstall the interior door panel and all trim pieces, torque fasteners to spec, and reconnect the battery if it was disconnected.
- Perform a final test drive or water test to ensure no wind noise or leaks remain; adjust as needed.
