Installation / Application:
Difficulty: 2/5
Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Suggested Tools:
Phillips and flathead screwdrivers
Trim removal tool (plastic preferred)
Rubbing alcohol or automotive cleaner
Clean lint-free cloths
Masking tape
Adhesive or automotive trim clips (if required)
Instructions:
Lower the convertible window (if applicable) to expose the beltline area and work from the top edge of the door.
Carefully remove the old beltline moldings using a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching the paint; remove any retaining clips or screws.
Clean the belt channel and surrounding area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or cleaner to remove dirt, adhesive residue and old sealant; allow to dry.
Test-fit the new inner left and right moldings to confirm orientation and fit before final installation.
If the kit uses clips, press the molding into place until clips engage the channel. If adhesive is required, apply as instructed by the adhesive manufacturer and align the molding, then press firmly.
Secure any screws or fasteners removed earlier, and use masking tape to hold the molding in position while adhesive cures (if applicable).
Operate the window to ensure smooth travel and proper sealing. Remove masking tape after adhesive cure time and inspect for gaps or loose sections.
