Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and lower the window slightly to give access to the beltline area.
- Protect painted surfaces with masking tape along the door edge to prevent scratches.
- Use a plastic trim tool or flat-head screwdriver (wrapped with cloth) to gently pry out the old molding; remove any retaining clips or adhesive carefully with pliers if present.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth to remove dirt and old adhesive.
- Test-fit the new molding to confirm orientation (left or right) and alignment with the door frame.
- Starting at one end, align the molding into the channel and press firmly along its length to engage the clips or snap features. Work slowly to ensure even seating.
- If any factory clips were damaged during removal, replace them before final seating. Trim excess material only if necessary.
- Cycle the window to confirm smooth operation and inspect the seal for gaps. Reinstall any interior trim removed during the process.
