Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and work in a well-lit area; wear safety gloves.
- Carefully remove existing beltline molding: use a trim removal tool or flat-blade screwdriver to pry out retaining clips, working from one end to the other.
- Remove any old adhesive or debris from the mounting channel; clean the area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit each new molding piece to the channel to verify left/right orientation and fit. Trim excess material only if explicitly required by fitment instructions.
- If the kit uses original or supplied clips, position clips on the molding or channel per clip locations; if adhesive is recommended, apply a thin bead of automotive-grade adhesive per manufacturer guidance.
- Align the molding at the front edge, then press firmly along the length to seat clips into the channel or to bond adhesive. Use masking tape to hold pieces in place if needed while clips engage or adhesive cures.
- Lightly tap with a rubber mallet or soft-faced hammer where needed to fully seat the molding without marring the finish.
- Reinstall any removed hardware or window components and inspect the fit and alignment. Clean the molding surface to remove fingerprints or residue.
- If adhesive was used, allow recommended cure time (typically 24 hours) before exposing the area to moisture or driving at highway speeds.
