Instructions:
- Park on a level surface and lower the window slightly (if applicable) to access the beltline area.
- Carefully pry off the old molding using a plastic trim tool; protect painted surfaces and work slowly to avoid breaking clips.
- Remove and inspect existing clips or fasteners; discard any damaged clips and clean mounting surfaces with isopropyl alcohol.
- If the new molding uses separate clips, install clips onto the molding or into the door per the original orientation.
- Align the new molding at one end of the door/window and press it into place along the beltline, engaging each clip or fastener as you go.
- If adhesive or sealant is required, apply a thin, even bead following the product instructions before final placement and press firmly to seat the molding.
- Reinstall any trim or components removed during access, raise the window, and check for smooth operation and proper sealing.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per manufacturer recommendations before driving or exposing to heavy moisture.
