Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on level ground, roll the window down, and wear safety gloves.
- Carefully pry up the old beltline molding using a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching the paint; use a flathead screwdriver only if necessary and protect painted surfaces with tape.
- Remove any retaining clips or fasteners and pull the old molding away from the door, noting clip locations and orientation for reinstallation.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or automotive cleaner and a clean cloth; remove old adhesive residue and dirt.
- Inspect and replace any damaged clips or fasteners before installing the new molding.
- Align the new molding at the front end of the door and press it into the channel, engaging clips or fasteners as you work toward the rear—apply even pressure along the length to secure.
- Confirm the molding sits flush and that all clips are fully engaged; adjust as needed.
- Roll the window up and down to verify smooth operation and that the molding does not interfere with the window track.
- Wipe down the installed molding and surrounding area to remove fingerprints or residue; recheck after a short test drive and retighten any loose sections if necessary.
