The Precision Door Weatherstrip Seal DWB 3121 02 is a left- or right-side door seal designed to restore proper sealing at the door perimeter. It prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise and dust ingress, and helps minimize vibration and rattles for a tighter, quieter cabin. Constructed from durable, weather-resistant EPDM rubber with an integrated retention channel, this seal is built for long-term performance and is ideal for restoration or replacement of worn factory weatherstripping. Confirm fit using the part number DWB 3121 02 for your vehicle before purchase.
Features:
- Durable EPDM rubber construction resists UV, ozone and temperature extremes.
- Provides water, dust and wind-noise protection while reducing door vibration.
- Fits left or right side door applications (confirm vehicle fitment by part number DWB 3121 02).
- Integrated retention channel for secure, factory-like fit and easy seating.
- Easy replacement for worn or damaged OEM weatherstripping—restoration-ready.
- Trim-to-fit design allows installation on a variety of door styles.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 20-45 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the door and carefully remove the old weatherstrip by pulling it from the door channel; use a plastic trim tool or wrapped flat-blade screwdriver to help pry out any retained sections.
- Thoroughly clean the channel and mating surface using rubbing alcohol or automotive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris; allow to dry completely.
- Dry-fit the new seal along the door perimeter to confirm length and orientation (left or right). Trim excess length with scissors or a utility knife if necessary, leaving a small overlap at the ends if recommended by your vehicle.
- If the original seal was adhesive-mounted, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or back of the new seal per adhesive instructions. Many seals are push-fit and do not require adhesive—use adhesive only if needed for your application.
- Starting at the top hinge area, align the seal’s retention channel with the door flange and press firmly into place, working around the door. Use short, even strokes to fully seat the seal in the retention groove.
- Use masking tape to hold the seal in position if adhesive was used and allow the recommended cure time before closing the door.
- Close the door and check for even compression along the seal; make any small adjustments to alignment or trim as needed. Re-check door operation and weather tightness after 24 hours.
