A 10-piece door weatherstrip seal kit engineered to renew glass runs, beltlines and door seals for left and right doors. Designed for 1961 model-year vehicles (verify fitment for your exact make/model), this kit restores proper glass alignment, stops water intrusion and wind noise, and protects interior trim from wear. Constructed from durable, weather-resistant rubber compounds with factory-style profiles, the kit provides reliable sealing performance and long service life while simplifying restoration and maintenance tasks.
Features:
- Fitment: Designed for 1961 model-year vehicles — confirm exact make/model before purchase.
- Complete 10-piece kit includes glass runs, beltline seals and door perimeter seals for left and right doors.
- Made from durable, weather-resistant rubber for long-lasting protection against water, dust and UV.
- Restores factory sealing to reduce wind noise, prevent leaks and protect interior trim.
- Direct-replacement profiles for accurate glass alignment and smooth window operation.
- Easy to install with basic hand tools — ideal for restoration, maintenance or replacement projects.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours (both doors)
Instructions:
- Prepare workspace and wear gloves to protect hands and glass.
- Remove the interior door panel: remove screws, clips and any trim pieces; set hardware aside.
- Lower the window to a position that allows access to the glass run and beltline (partially or fully depending on vehicle).
- Carefully remove old glass runs and beltline seals: peel out weatherstrip and remove any retaining clips or screws.
- Clean the channel and surrounding metal thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or appropriate cleaner to remove dirt, adhesive and old rubber residue.
- Test-fit new glass runs and beltline seals to ensure proper orientation and fit before final installation.
- If required, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting surfaces per adhesive instructions.
- Install the new glass run by sliding it into the channel, ensuring the rubber seats evenly against the glass and door frame; repeat for the opposite side.
- Install beltline seals and door perimeter seals, trimming any excess and aligning edges so seals compress uniformly when door is closed.
- Lubricate rubber contact surfaces with rubber lubricant or soapy water to aid smooth window operation and prevent pinching.
- Reinstall any retaining clips, trim and the interior door panel. Tighten screws and verify that all hardware is secure.
- Operate the window and close the door several times to check for smooth movement, proper sealing and to make any final adjustments.
