Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, lower the window slightly (if applicable) and protect surrounding trim with masking tape.
- Remove any interior trim or weatherstrips that obstruct access to the inner beltline molding using a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching.
- Carefully pry out the old molding: start at one end and work along the length to disengage clips or adhesive; save any reusable clips if undamaged.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or a mild cleaner to remove dirt, old adhesive, and residue. Let dry completely.
- Inspect and replace any worn or broken clips. If your vehicle used adhesive, prepare a suitable trim adhesive per the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Align the new inner left-hand beltline molding to the channel, starting at one end. Use light pressure and a soft-faced mallet as needed to seat the profile into the channel and engage clips.
- Work along the length, ensuring the molding sits flush and follows the contour without gaps or twists. Trim excess material if necessary to match original length.
- Reinstall any removed weatherstrips or interior trim. Cycle the window (if applicable) to confirm there is no interference and that the molding remains secure.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per the adhesive manufacturer’s recommendations before exposing to heavy use or moisture.
