Left-hand inner rear door beltline molding designed to restore the door’s trim line, protect the paint, and secure the weatherstrip along the beltline. Manufactured to match original fit and profile, this durable, corrosion-resistant molding helps reduce wind noise and water intrusion while returning a clean, finished appearance to the door opening. Ideal for replacement or restoration projects where OEM-style fit and long-lasting performance are required. Check your vehicle’s parts cross-reference to confirm compatibility with your specific application.
Features:
- Designed as an inner rear door, left-hand beltline molding for compatible vehicles (verify fitment with part cross-reference).
- Made from corrosion-resistant metal with an OEM-style finish for long-lasting appearance and protection.
- Secures and protects the beltline and weatherstrip, helping prevent water intrusion and paint damage.
- Reduces vibration and wind noise by restoring a precise trim seal.
- Easy to install with standard interior trim tools; suitable for restoration and replacement applications.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and disconnect negative battery terminal if required by vehicle service manual for interior work.
- Remove the interior door panel: gently pry off trim pieces and unscrew fasteners using a trim removal tool and screwdriver. Set panel and fasteners aside.
- Locate and remove the existing beltline molding: carefully pry out retaining clips or fasteners along the molding with a trim tool or flat-head screwdriver. Use pliers for stubborn clips.
- Clean the mounting channel and surrounding surface with isopropyl alcohol or mild cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris. Allow to dry.
- Inspect and replace any damaged clips or fasteners. For best fitment, line up new molding with the door channel and verify clip positions before final installation.
- Starting at one end, press the new molding into the channel and engage each clip or fastener until fully seated. Work along the length of the molding to ensure even engagement and a flush fit.
- Check that the weatherstrip and door panel fit correctly against the new molding; adjust as needed.
- Reinstall the door panel and any removed trim pieces, tightening fasteners securely. Test door operation and inspect for gaps, wind noise, or water entry.
- If any clips were damaged or the fit is loose, remove molding and install new clips or use a suitable adhesive/sealant recommended for trim pieces, then repeat seating steps.
