Instructions:
- Open the hood and support it securely.
- Locate and remove the old hood-to-cowl seal. Remove any retaining clips or fasteners and carefully pry the old seal away from the flange.
- Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the cowl and hood area using isopropyl alcohol or an appropriate cleaner to remove dirt, grease, and adhesive residue.
- Dry the area completely and inspect for rust or damage; repair as needed before installing the new seal.
- Test-fit the new CS 3110 02 seal along the cowl to confirm orientation and length. Trim excess if necessary with a utility knife.
- If the original installation used adhesive, apply a thin bead of recommended automotive weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting flange following the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Position the new seal starting at one end and press it firmly into place, working along the flange to ensure a continuous, even fit. Use masking tape to hold sections in place temporarily if needed.
- Reinstall any retaining clips or fasteners removed earlier, making sure the seal sits flush and there are no gaps.
- Close the hood slowly to check alignment and confirm there is no interference. Adjust the seal position if required.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per manufacturer recommendations before exposing the vehicle to moisture or high-pressure washing.
