Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and open or remove interior trim pieces to access the rear window channel if required.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip by pulling it out of the channel; use a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching paint or glass.
- Thoroughly clean the channel and surrounding surfaces with rubbing alcohol or an appropriate cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and residue. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal along the channel to confirm orientation and length. Trim any excess if necessary, making small cuts and rechecking fit.
- Apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive into the channel only if the original installation used adhesive. Alternatively, apply a light coat of silicone lubricant to the new seal to ease installation.
- Starting at one corner, press the new weatherstrip into the channel, working around the perimeter. Use your fingers and a rubber mallet or block of wood to seat the seal fully without twisting or stretching.
- Reinstall any removed interior trim pieces, wipe away any excess adhesive, and allow adhesive (if used) to cure according to the product instructions.
- Check the seal by gently pressing around the glass and perform a water test (hose) to confirm no leaks and proper seating before driving.
