Instructions:
- Carefully remove the interior trim pieces and any chrome trim that interfaces with the rear window, using a soft pry tool to avoid damage to panels.
- Remove the old weatherstrip by prying it out of the channel and disengaging any clips. Keep any reusable body clips if they remain in good condition.
- Thoroughly clean the channel and surrounding surfaces with isopropyl alcohol or a mild cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease. Allow to dry.
- If needed, moisten the new weatherstrip with soapy water to aid sliding and positioning during installation.
- Align the new weatherstrip with the window channel and press it into place, engaging the sealing lip fully along the glass perimeter and seating it into the body clip locations.
- Reinstall the chrome trim, ensuring it inserts correctly into the body clips and captures the new weatherstrip where required.
- Check the seal by applying light water or a hose around the rear window and inspecting for leaks. Re-seat trim or weatherstrip where necessary.
- Reinstall interior trim pieces and clean the glass/trim. Replace any damaged body clips with new clips if they were removed or broken.
